Some patrons express concerns about the cash-only policy, which can be limiting for those accustomed to card payments. While the food quality remains consistently high, a few reviews mention occasional wait times during peak hours, particularly on Fridays at dinner. This can vary from a minor inconvenience to a larger issue during busy weekends. Additionally, those looking for a dine-in experience may find the takeaway nature of the shop less appealing, as seating is limited. Furthermore, parking can become challenging during peak times, although the shop does offer free parking and a nearby lot.
The food was great, it was proper Chinese curry sauce, the one i used to have back in the day. I got the set meal for 1 and it was worth the money, it was so nice, my partner had chicken fried rice chips curry sauce, and he loved it too. Not expensive, polite staff, nice food.
I found this place last night whilst on a bike ride with my children. The food was great , they usually have something to moan about but no all happy! Particularly loved the salt and pepper chips! Prices are good too and the service friendly and quick.
It’s a takeaway, so don’t expect to dine in. The food is good, and consistent, which I always think is important for a food place. The food is always hot and they’ve always got the order correct. I don’t think they’re either cheap or overpriced, but it’s important to call out that there is no option to pay by card and I find this limiting. We typically get a mix of western food (fish and chips) and Chinese food (noodles, char siu, mixed stir fry, spring rolls, king prawn, etc) with a variety of sauces/styles. Never had any complaints from my family and no “dodgy tummy” issues later. In short, happy to eat here and happy to recommend to others.
Hands down the best fish and chip shop in Manchester!! Good prices, friendly staff and food is excellent!! Cod with chips was freshly fried, tasted fantastic and plentiful. Batter was crispy, salt on point. The mushy peas were tasty and well seasoned. Awesome place!! Definitely worth it and will come back for sure 👍
Best chips pease and gravy Ive had in years. Top notch!
Everything about this was just fantastic; we ended up here after another local we normally go to was closed, and we’re very glad we did. Even though it was busy, we were served quickly, efficiently and with a friendly candour, the food was fresh, and the price was very good for what we had! We’ll definitely be back 🙂
Started going here after a closer chippy let me down. Worth the extra walk. Food is nice staff are polite. I keep going back when I want a chippy tea. The family think the same too!
